1. The Regional D&A team is responsible for the delivery of initiatives that translate into value to the business by increasing revenue, support the identification and management of risk and save costs by increasing efficiencies.
2. The Regional D&A team is also responsible for the execution of our Global Data and Analytics strategy across the Asia Pacific region and the delivery of the infrastructure components and services like data management and governance, that enable the implementation of our strategy.
3. The Regional D&A Team is made up of 34 colleagues based in HK. The team works in close collaboration with colleagues in our Global Development Centres, based in India and China.
4. The Regional D&A team also works closely with Data & Analytics representatives across markets for the delivery of initiatives in country.This role will support the implementation of omnichannel strategy in HK and also deliver the foundation to facilitate the roll out of the strategy in ASP sites."
5. This position gives the successful candidate an opportunity to demonstrate skills particularly in relation to:
a. Bring in new insight to Commercial Banking using data & analytics.
Design analytical solutions to facilitate business strategy formulation in the country.
Design data visualization to best represent management insights that supports senior management’s decision making for business growth, customer retention and operational efficiency.
b. Involve in projects for transforming analytics capabilities in the country such as development of big data infrastructure, advanced data visualization and machine learning algorithms.
c. Contribute to innovation initiatives and overall analytics strategy under the country business analytics head guidance and directives.
Establish partnership with delivery across internal and external parties – e.g. IT, regional office, vendor and FinTech.

1.University degree in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or any other quantitative related discipline
2. Recent track record of 8 years working experience in banking or Finance Technology related industry. Experience in commercial bank is a plus.
3. Possess strong skills in data analytical tools such as SAS, R and Python. Good experience with new technologies and data visualization tools such as QlikView or Tableau will be a strong plus.
4. Understand the concept of SQL and NOSQL data base
5. Knowledge and experience in big data, machine learning or predictive algorithms, natural language processing, statistics modelling, and data mining. Interested in staying up to date on the latest analytics and big data technologies. Possess good business sense of their application in the commercial banking business. Relevant Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, SAFe, LeSS, DAD.
6. Attention to details, with good communication and presentation skills
Fluent in written and spoken English, Highly adaptable and ability to approach things differently in order to achieve goals.
