The ASP GRA Wholesale Credit Modeling Team is providing support of the development and validation of Wholesale Credit Models and the related analytics in Asia Pacific. It also ensures global consistency in the development, implementation, and monitoring of wholesale credit methodology, policies and systems.

1. In the development and validation of wholesale Credit models, the related analytics support in Asia Pacific;
2. In addition to the regional responsibilities, the job holder should also ensure global consistency in the development, implementation, and monitoring of wholesale credit methodology, policies and systems;
3. The role holder is also expected to provide both consultation and support on other risk analytics such as (but not limited to) Stress Testing, IFRS9 and Economic Capital across key customer groups to build shareholder value and profitability and to protect employees, assets and reputation of the HSBC Group via;
4. Improved measurement of risk-related capital resources;
5. Close alignment between the Risk and Business/Support functions in execution of the role;
6. Alignment of the regional Analytics to the Global Analytics via a close and collaborative on-going relationship with Group Risk and the Global Head Global Risk Analytics.

1. Disciplines, FIN, Treasury / Markets, and GBM, CMB, PFS, GPB, INS and Operations at Regional office and across countries, and with Group Risk to ensure implementation of new disciplines in a globally consistent manner;
2. Degree holder or above in Finance, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics or a related field;
3. Have a good understanding of credit (PD/EAD/LGD) modelling, in particular within the wholesale environment;
4. Experienced in banking industry, including experience in Risk and in a business line (preferably corporate);
5. Prefer to have a hands on experience in stress testing and Basel modelling and validation;
6. Prefer to have experience in Basel and HKMA regulatory capital rules;
7. Able to work in a dynamic and multinational culture and cope with high pressure;
8. Proven writing and analytical skills;
9. Quantitatively capable;
10. Hands on experience in programming language such as (but not limited to) SAS, S+, Matlab, R or Python;
11. Hands on experience or strong interest in modelling including (but not limited to) both traditional and machine learning techniques;
12. Be a confident communicator with excellent soft people skills and management skills;
13. Ability to build effective relationships and liaise effectively with key business areas and management at all levels of the organisation;
14. Have a strong desire to embrace and drive change with strong influencing ability.
