Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Traded Risk Manager.

1. Support the Regional Traded Risk Management team in the delivery of Stress Testing and Portfolio Risk Management tasks for Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk.
2. Analyze and validate Stress Testing results and provide insightful commentary and reports of for BAU and Regulatory Stress testing.
3. Partner and liaise with Regional Traded Risk managers to understand and highlight key Portfolio Risk and escalate issues.
4. Support the development and preparation of Regional Stress Testing scenarios, design and shocks/re-calibration, drafting of assumptions and justifications…
5. Partner with Group Traded Risk process and IT teams in coordinating and delivering Stress Testing results on timely basis.
6. Support the Regional team on Regional Regulatory Stress Tests. Provide support on delivering Stress Testing Analysis tasks:
- Scenario definition and design,
- Stress Testing run requirements definition for IT and Process teams,
- results validation and analysis,
- Interaction with Group, Regional and Country teams,
- Redaction of Basis of Preparation document (assumptions, shocks calibrations, justification against regulatory expectations…).
7. Contribute to systems and infrastructure enhancement by taking part in UAT in requirements development.
8. Interest and familiarity with programming (Python...), systems and databases.

1. Proven experience in Traded Risk and/or Stress Testing management area.
2. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with at least degree level education in a quantitative discipline
3. Ability to interpret complex risk reports from multiple sources and ability to identify key material risks
4. Advanced understanding of reporting requirements, data lineage, architecture within the bank will be advantageous
5. Understanding of incoming regulatory directives impacting Markets businesses
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Team player, Ability to form strong working relationships
8. Good knowledge of Markets products
9. Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills
10. Programming ability (e.g. Python...), experience in manipulating systems and databases.
